Malaysian-Thai fighter Aliff Sor.Dechapan achieved his first triumph on the grand stage of ONE Championship, defeating Brazilian contender Walter Goncalves by unanimous decision at ONE 169, held at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok.
Aliff showcased his superior striking skills from the opening bell, consistently pressuring Walter with precise attacks. His sharp punches and calculated kicks kept Walter on the defensive, giving Aliff an early edge in the bout.
The third round saw a dramatic turn as Walter landed a powerful knee that briefly stunned Aliff. However, Aliff quickly regained momentum and delivered a decisive punch that sent Walter to the canvas.
Adding to the drama, the referee issued a yellow card to Walter for a foul, penalizing him by deducting a portion of his fight earnings.
At the end of three intense rounds, the judges awarded Aliff a unanimous decision victory. This win marks a significant milestone in Aliff’s career as his first victory in a ONE Championship big event, cementing his status as a promising fighter in the organization.
