Johan Ghazali, the talented Malaysian-American Muay Thai boxer, achieved an impressive victory over Mexico’s Josue Cruz by TKO in the first round at ONE 168, held at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
Competing in a Muay Thai catchweight bout (142 lbs), Johan, also known as “Jojo,” showcased his aggressive yet composed fighting style.
The fight started with both fighters exchanging attacks, but it was Jojo who dominated, delivering relentless blows. He dropped his opponent and landed a decisive punch just before the end of the first round, leading to a stoppage as Cruz was unable to continue.
This victory earned Johan a $50,000(RM216,874) bonus from ONE Championship.
Jojo has rapidly made a name for himself in the Muay Thai world, starting with a sensational debut, where he knocked out Padetsuk Fairtex in just 16 seconds. Since then, he has continued to collect knockout wins, including a 36-second victory over WBC Muay Thai Champion Edgar Tabares.
This latest triumph further boosts Johan’s confidence as he continues to build his career and pursue greater success in the world of Muay Thai.
