Malaysia Women’s national team has announced 23 players in the squad to prepare for 2 International Friendly Matches from 23-26 October 2024 in Dubai, UAE.
This tournament as part of the team’s preparation for the AFF Women’s Cup 2024 in Laos.
The squad consists of a balanced mix of experienced players and rising talents, with a strong representation across all positions. Among the goalkeepers selected are Nurul Azurin Mazlan, Nur Ezza Ashikin Abdul Razak, and Juliana Barek, who will be crucial in providing a solid last line of defense.
The defensive lineup is led by seasoned players such as Siti Nurfaizah Saidin and Steffi Sarge Kaur Sergeant Singh, joined by emerging talents like Nurfarisya Hanim Muhamad Zaki and Eusvewana Kadius, who will be expected to provide stability at the back.
In midfield, the likes of Jaciah Jumilis and Farahiyah Muhamad Ridzuan will offer creativity and control, while forward players such as Dian Aqilah Mohammed Imran and Rocillyeka Lole will lead the attack, aiming to sharpen the team’s offensive edge ahead of the AFF Women’s Cup.

The Malayan Tigress will kick off their international friendlies on October 23, 2024, against Saudi Arabia at the Dubai Police Stadium. Following that, the squad will face Laos on October 26, 2024, at the Humaid Al Tayer Stadium. Both matches are scheduled at midnight Malaysian time.
These fixtures are an essential part of the team’s final preparations for the AFF Women’s Cup 2024, which will be held in Laos starting on November 23, 2024. Head coach Soleen Al-Zoubi has emphasized the importance of these matches in fine-tuning the team’s tactics and evaluating player performances before the regional tournament.
“We have assembled a squad with a blend of youth and experience, and these matches in Dubai will provide a valuable test of our readiness for the AFF Women’s Cup. It’s an important step in our journey, and we aim to use these games to build confidence and cohesion,” said Al-Zoubi.
The Malayan Tigress are set to depart for Dubai on Sunday, October 20, 2024, where they will undergo intensive training before their friendly matches.
With the AFF Women’s Cup looming, the friendly matches in Dubai will offer Malaysia an opportunity to face tough competition ahead of their campaign.
