The Malaysia U23 national team, under head coach Nafuzi Zain, has announced its 25-player squad for central training camp, set to begin this Sunday, 17 August, as part of the final preparations for the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Pathum Thani, Thailand.
The squad features a heavy presence from Johor Darul Ta’zim II, with 11 players earning call-ups, including promising talents Muhamad Faris Danish, Ziad El Basheer, and Ahmad Aysar Hadi. Other key contributors come from Selangor FC (6 players), Melaka FC, Negeri Sembilan FC, and other Super League and Premier League outfits.
The youthful roster, aged between 19 and 22, reflects Nafuzi’s strategy of blending emerging domestic stars with players boasting competitive league experience.
