Malaysia national team staff coach visit Barcelona, Spain for conducted a technical study on 17 April 2023. led by Kim Pan-Gon, head coach, and joined by Pau Marti Vicente, assistant coach, Cho Jun-Ho, goalkeeper coach, Park Ji-Hyeon, physical conditioning coach, and Lim Jae-Hun, performance analysis coach.
The week-long trip provided the team with a unique opportunity to witness FC Barcelona’s first team training session and tour the club’s training facility. They also had the chance to meet with some of the club’s officials and coaching staff, including FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez.
On 20 April 2023, Malaysia national team coaching staff continued their visit by spending the day at another Spanish club located in Barcelona, Espanyol to visit the first team training centre and attended seminar by methodology department.
During their week long visit to Barcelona, the team also watched two La Liga 2022/23 matches. They attended Espanyol’s match against Cadiz on Friday and watched FC Barcelona play against Atletico Madrid on Sunday 23 April 2023.
In addition, Jihyeon Park and Lim Jaehun watched Mallorca against Getafe on Sunday before watching a training session and meeting the team officials on Monday.
