Malaysia Airlines has renewed its strategic partnership with the Malaysian Football League (MFL) as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local sports and fostering national pride through football.
The partnership, which extends for another three years until 2027, was formalized during a signing ceremony held on Saturday, 7 September, at the MATTA Fair in the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.
The agreement was signed by Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Malaysia Airlines, and representatives of the MFL, with the event witnessed by key figures such as Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan, President of the MFL, and Giorgio Pompili Rossi, CEO of the MFL.
Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed collaboration: “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the Malaysian Football League. This decision highlights our commitment to supporting local sports and strengthening our engagement with the community. We aim to celebrate shared successes and contribute to the development of sports in Malaysia.”
Dato’ Ab Ghani Hassan also acknowledged the importance of the partnership, noting that it ensures smooth travel arrangements for league events and reflects the airline’s dedication to Malaysian football.
Through this partnership, Malaysia Airlines not only enhances its visibility at major league events but also reinforces its broader strategy of using sports to unite the nation and showcase Malaysian culture on a global stage.
