Fabio Magrão decided to terminate their contract with Timor-Leste Football Association (FFTL) and resigns as head coach of the Timor-Leste national team due to FFTL without paying a salary for more than five months.
Magrão has led the Timor Leste national main team and U23 since 2020, in which his best achievement is 3rd place at AFF U23 Championship 2022 in Cambodia in February 2022.
Currently, he has received several invitations to negotiate to lead a club from V.League, Thai League, and Liga Super Malaysia.
Magrão, had experience in Liga Malaysia with Kuala Lumpur FA in 2017-2018 and succeed in taking the team promotion to Liga Super Malaysia by take a Champions of Liga Premier Malaysia 2017 and was successful in avoiding relegation in Liga Super Malaysia 2018.
