Sri Pahang FC kept 3 points after beating Kuching City with a score of 3-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan.
In that match, Sri Pahang started fiercely when they opened the scoring with a penalty scored by Stefano Brundo in the 12th minute after striker Rafael Silva was brought down in the penalty box.
However, three minutes later, Kuching City equalized through Pedro Henrique’s header after receiving a pass from the team captain, Alif Hassan.
It was Kuching City’s turn to take the lead after Abu Kamara scored the team’s second goal in the 25th minute before Kuvondik Ruziev equalized for Sri Pahang two minutes before the end of the first half.
Continuing the second half, Fandi Ahmad’s squad doubled their efforts against the opposing side with several attempts against Kuching City and finally Rafael secured three points for Sri Pahang when he scored the team’s third goal in the 62nd minute.
