Continuing the second half of the match, Penang tried hard to close the gap by making at least five direct attempts at the visitor’s goal.
One of them managed to enter the opponent’s goal in the 77th minute, but it was not counted because the goal was scored in an offside situation.
Penang’s wait ended when captain Rafael Vitor headed home the equalizer in the 87th minute, but the situation quickly changed when Noor Al-Rawabdeh scored Selangor’s winning goal, a minute before the end.
It was caused by a pass from substitute Aliff Haiqall who was also assisted by Danial Asri before Noor Al-Rawabdeh finished it to allow Selangor to bring home three points.
