Penang FC keep the second point in this season after tying with Terengganu FC scoring 0-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium Bandaraya, Pulau Pinang.
Terengganu almost scored the first goal in the 38th minute through Manuel Ott but the Filipino midfielder’s try was not counted due to offside.
The goal from a cross from the team captain, Safawi Rasid, was deemed offside because his position was above the opposing players, causing the referee’s assistant to raise the flag without watching the Referee Assistance Video (VAR).
In the 68th minute, Penang FC’s goal was also canceled by referee S Logeswaran after the team’s striker, Mohammad Nabil Ahmad Latpi, headed the ball which had been caught by the goalkeeper, Syed Muhammad in the goal.
The decision remains until the end of the game. Both teams tied 0-0
