Perak FC lept the first 3 points after beating Kedah Darul Aman scoring 2-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar.
The hosts were first tested with a free kick from the attempt of Perak import player, Kanybekov Adilet in the third minute, but it was successfully saved by Kalamullah Al-Hafiz.
Kedah tried to recover with a quick counter attack on the Perak side two minutes later, but winger Sukhrob Nurulloev’s header was caught by Ramadhan Ab Hamid.
Kedah, who controlled the game, tried to beat the Perak side through Syafiq Ahmad’s attempt in the 12th minute, but his attempt failed to meet the target.
Perak finally surprised the hosts with a goal in the 16th minute when South Korean player Lee Tae-min managed to beat Kalamullah Al-Hafiz. The network was confirmed through review by the VAR.
Shocked by the Perak goal, Kedah tried to recover by chasing an equalizer through a series of dangerous attacks by Sony Norde, Syafiq, and Nurulloev, but to no avail.
Starting in the second half, Kedah received a slap when their striker, Syafiq, was injured and had to be replaced by winger Fayadh Zulkifli, while Norde acted as striker.
Kedah made three simultaneous changes by bringing on second strikers Ebenezer Assifuah, Faiz Nasir and Fadzrul Danel in the 70th minute to increase their attack power.
Tae-min once again cheered up the Perak supporters with his second goal in the 76th minute starting with a counter-attacking move from the middle.
Two minutes before the end of the game, Norde almost scored a goal with an attempt in front of goal, but his attempt was also hit by the crossbar.
Ended the game, Perak FC won 2-0 and kept the first 3 points this season.
