Johor Darul Ta’zim continued their relentless march toward another title. The Southern Tigers dismantled Penang FC with a ruthless 4-0 victory in the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 at Stadium Bandaraya, Pulau Pinang.
Despite a passionate home crowd, the “Panthers” were simply unable to handle the tactical precision and firepower of the visitors in this Week 19 Super League showdown.
JDT didn’t waste any time. Just six minutes into the contest, Marcos Guilherme found the back of the net to put the Tigers 1-0 up, instantly shifting the pressure onto the home side.
Penang’s local hero Chia Ruo Han tried his best to spark a comeback with a dazzling solo run, but JDT’s Oscar Arribas—who was everywhere on the pitch—shut down the danger with veteran composure. Arribas then turned provider, settting up Bergson da Silva in the 35th minute for a clinical finish that made it 2-0 before the break.
The second half saw JDT shift into another gear. In the 68th minute, Bergson bagged his brace after a sweet layoff from substitute Joao Figueiredo.
Penang’s night went from bad to worse when their starting keeper, Ramdhan Hamid, was forced off the pitch following a heavy collision with Manuel Hidalgo. With veteran Khairulazhan Khalid coming on as a sub, JDT refused to slow down. Oscar Arribas, arguably the Man of the Match, finally got the goal he deserved in stoppage time, rifling home the fourth to complete the rout.
