Johor Darul Ta’Zim keep 3 points in second last match after beating Sri Pahang FC scoring 2-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at Darul Makmur Stadium, Kuantan.
In that match, JDT’s brilliant action started as early as the sixth minute when Heberty Fernandes’ shot from outside the penalty box managed to beat Zarif Irfan, Sri Pahang Goalkeeper.
After that, Juan Muniz almost scored the second goal for JDT but his shot went slightly over the home team’s crossbar in the 19th minute.
In the 34th minute, the host’s import striker, Kpah Sherman had a chance to score an equalizing goal despite facing JDT goalkeeper, Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed but failed to finish.
A minute later, Heberty had a chance to score his second personal goal but the shot went over the bar.
However, three minutes before the end of the first half, Bergeson Gustavo scored the second goal to put JDT comfortably ahead of Sri Pahang 2-0.
Continuing the second half, JDT clearly dominated the game by making dangerous attacks on the home team.
Harimau Selatan’s best chance came in the 60th minute thanks to Arif Aiman Hanapi’s touch but the young player’s kick missed the left side of Sri Pahang’s goal post.
Kpah also had a chance to open the JDT goal but the imported striker from Liberia failed to finish in the 71st minute which saw the opponent take home three points while the hosts had to concede defeat at home.
