Lee Zii Jia has officially pulled out of the Denmark Open 2024, scheduled to take place in Odense from 15-22 October, due to an ankle injury.
The Malaysian shuttler had been hopeful of competing, despite sustaining the injury during the quarterfinals of the Arctic Open.
Upon arriving in Odense on Sunday, there was optimism that Zii Jia could still participate in the VICTOR Denmark Open. However, after testing his ankle on the court, the discomfort persisted, severely limiting his movement and preventing him from performing at a competitive level.
Following careful consideration, Zii Jia made the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament, much to the disappointment of his fans and supporters.
This setback comes as a blow to Zii Jia’s season, but his focus will now shift to recovery in hopes of returning to full fitness for upcoming competitions.
