“Kuala Lumpur City Football Club expresses profound sadness and deep regret over the incidents that took place during the FA Cup Final last Saturday at Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Johor. Our hearts go out to the affected fans and their families who were impacted by the unfortunate altercation with the ground security personnel. We stand in solidarity with our fans during this difficult time and are committed to offering any assistance possible.” KL City said in official statement.

“We condemn all acts of violence, aggression, criminal damage, and trespass, irrespective of whether it involves our own supporters or others. The unnecessary use of extreme force inside and outside the stadium has overshadowed the excitement of the keenly contested game on the pitch and has no place in the world of sports.”

“Our thoughts are with the members of the City Boys family who witnessed the distressing events and were impacted by them. To the fans who were harmed, we extend our sincerest support and assistance.”

“We are fully prepared to cooperate with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in their investigation of the incidents, following the police report lodged by one of the affected fans. We urge any witnesses with evidence to come forward and help us ensure justice is served for the victim. In addition, we will be holding meetings with a number of supporters who experienced the situation firsthand, to gather their perspectives on the unfortunate events. We deeply appreciate your cooperation and trust that the PDRM will take the appropriate actions.”

“As a club, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of crowd control aggression. We are committed to working closely with the relevant authorities to improve the safe environment for fans. We also call upon the relevant authorities to prioritize safety and consider implementing further measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where fans can wholeheartedly support their teams, enjoy the game, and be free from any apprehension caused by troublemakers.”

“In the spirit of transparency and accountability, we kindly request the relevant authorities to make public their findings or updates from the investigations during the FA Cup final.”

“In conclusion, we express our disappointment in the events that unfolded, as they have left a negative mark on Malaysian football. Our focus now lies on supporting the affected individuals and taking collective action to ensure such incidents never happen again.
