Katsuhito Kinoshi, head coach of Selangor FC has expressed confidence in his team’s preparations as they gear up for a crucial clash against Thailand’s Muangthong United holds significant importance in Selangor’s quest to advance to the next round.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Kinoshi emphasized the need for an aggressive approach to counter Muangthong’s recent form.
“I am proud to fight with the Selangor players. We will see good action tomorrow. They won their last three games, and we must give them the best competition because Muangthong is a strong team,” he said.
While acknowledging the strength of the Thai side, Kinoshi stressed that Selangor’s focus remains on their own preparations.
“We don’t care about the system used by the opponent. We (Selangor) only focus on our preparations because the team has many quality players.”
Kinoshi expressed satisfaction with the team’s motivation and commitment in training sessions, which he believes will be key to ending Muangthong United’s winning streak.
“The players have the strength to play and show their abilities. The motivation of the players is very good, and I am very satisfied,” he noted.
Hinting at possible changes to the starting lineup, the 60-year-old tactician added, “I can give an impression that there will be some changes in the starting lineup, but we will see later.”
Muangthong United, riding on a three-match winning streak, are expected to present a formidable challenge. However, Kinoshi’s emphasis on tactical discipline and the quality within his squad suggests Selangor is well-prepared to take the fight to their opponents.
