Kim Pan-Gon, head coach of Malaysia national team explained that the players need to be more vigilant in accomplishing the important mission, which is to win and at the same time they must avoid surprises in a match against Bangladesh in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round on tomorrow.
Despite Bangladesh being lower than Malaysia in the FIFA world rankings and losing all two Group E matches, Pan Gon still considers Javier Fernandez’s squad to be a tough opponent.
“I don’t know the history (of the Malaysia -Bangladesh clash) before and just making an assessment when Bangladesh faces Bahrain and Turkmenistan, I think they are a good team,” Kim said in a press conference.
“We have a lot of respect for the Bangladesh team, but we are still fully confident that our players can give their best.”
“Bangladesh is a very strong team for us, so I think we need to do a thorough preparation in terms of tactical, technical, mental and strategy,”
AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers 3rd round Group E 3rd match between Malaysia VS Bangladesh will be kick-off on 14 June 2022 at 9.00 pm at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur
