Kelantan United has appointed Ailton Dos Santos, Brazilian coach, to be the team’s new head coach in the second leg of season 2023, replacing Tomas Trucha, Czech head coach after has demoted by the club.
Ailton, have experience as head coach with Brazilian club and clubs in the Thai League namely Chiangrai United in season 2019 and Chiangmai United in the season 2021/22.
“Ailton’s appointment is in line with the management of Kelantan United who are determined to resurrect the club in the league competition after finishing the first round in the last third position.” Kelantan United said in an official statement
Kelantan United is currently in the 13th rank (second lowest position) in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 after only being able to collect 6 points in 14 games played.
