Jaroslav Silhavy, head coach of the Oman national team, believes and is confident his players are capable of winning against Malaysia national team in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group D.
Silhavy believes that with the meticulous preparations organized over the past eight days, Oman will be able to beat Malaysia and seize the lead of Group D.
Silhavy just became the head coach of the Oman national team in February 2024, replacing Branko Ivankovic, the Croatian coach, after being eliminated in the group stage of the AFC Asian Cup 2023.
“We have made thorough preparations for this match, everyone is ready. We are confident that we can achieve a positive result (against Malaysia),” Silhavy said
“We have studied our opponent (Malaysia) well and we have also identified their strengths. Opponents have attacking lines known for their speed.”
“They are also very dangerous in set-piece situations; this shows they have made neat preparations too,”
