Japan national football team has revealed its 26-player squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 3 Matchday 5-6.
Japan’s head coach Hajime Moriyasu has emphasized maintaining the team’s undefeated streak while adapting to away conditions. With a balanced squad of seasoned veterans and emerging stars, Japan is well-positioned to extend its lead in Group C and edge closer to securing its spot in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Arsenal defender Tomiyasu Takehiro and Feyenoord forward Ueda Ayase are ruled out due to injuries.
Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi rejoins the squad after a year-long absence, while Daiki Hashioka of Luton Town returns from injury for his first call-up since June.
