Hector Bidoglio, head coach of Johor Darul Ta’Zim, is laser-focused on preparing his team for their pivotal AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 East Zone Matchday 4 clash against Ulsan HD FC.
Despite Ulsan’s formidable reputation, Bidoglio remains optimistic, believing JDT is prepared to put forth a stellar performance and build on their positive run in the group stage, where they currently sit fifth with six points from three matches.
“The team is in excellent shape, and we’re aware of the challenge ahead,” Bidoglio noted.
“Ulsan is a quality side, but rather than focusing on their coach, I’m concentrated on how we can elevate our team’s performance. It’s crucial to respect our opponents, but we’re also determined to showcase our own growth as a club.”
Adding to the anticipation, JDT’s star defender Jordi Amat is set to make a powerful comeback on home turf at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, aiming to harness the energy of their home supporters.
“Playing in front of our supporters and families adds a special motivation for us. Ulsan is among the strongest in South Korea, but we’re confident and ready to push for the win,” said Amat, who recently returned from injury. “I’m fully prepared to give my all for the team.”
This matchup will be a significant test for JDT, as they look to assert themselves in the Elite Champions League and take a decisive step toward progressing from the group stage.
AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 East Zone Matchday 4 between Johor Darul Ta’Zim vs Ulsan HD FC will be playing on 5 November 2024, 8.00 pm at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri.
