Hector Bidoglio, head coach of Johor Darul Ta’Zim refused to cheer after his players easily ‘reprimanded’ Malaysian University FC 5-0 in the Piala FA Malaysia 2024/25 quarter-final first match last night.
“It’s still not comfortable even though we’re 5-0 up because in football anything can happen and I want to make sure the winning streak continues when we meet again on July 5,” Hector said in post-match press conference.
“What the players went through seemed difficult, especially in the first half when the opposing team played too defensively so that nine players were in the defensive area and it made it difficult for us to break through the opponent’s defense.”
“In the second half, we found the space to move and carry out a continuous attack with the pressure starting in the central position and then switching to the left and right-wing positions which opened up space to score four goals,”
