PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has announced that Malaysian rising star Hakim Danish will make his long-awaited Moto3 wildcard debut at the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025, scheduled from 24 to 26 October at Sepang International Circuit, Sepang.
The 18-year-old’s participation represents a historic milestone for Malaysian motorsport, as local fans will once again witness homegrown talent on the Moto3™ grid, three years after Syarifuddin Azman “Damok” last flew the Jalur Gemilang at Sepang.
SIC Chief Executive Officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif hailed Danish’s achievement as the result of years of dedication and development through Malaysia’s motorsports pathway.
“Danish has truly earned this wildcard. This is more than just a race — it is the culmination of our motorsports development (MDEV) blueprint, proving that grassroots investment can create world-class riders,” Shafriman said.
“I invite every motorsport fan to fill the grandstands and cheer for our future champion at MotoGP™ Malaysia.”
