Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has set up an Independent Malaysia national team Investigation Body comprising individuals from outside the Association to lead the post-mortem on the national team’s performance report at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 in Singapore, in december 2021.
In this regard, FAM has appointed a former player Malaysia national team and former Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Dell Akbar Khan, to lead this independent investigation body.
Datuk Dell Akbar was mandated to appoint several other individuals to be members of this independent inquiry body comprising those who have held positions in football, including former players and coaches, but do not hold any positions or are members of any FAM committee at this time.
The main task of this independent body is to conduct a preliminary post-mortem on the report and complete analysis from the coaching staff and management of the national team on the performance of the Malaysia during the campaign in Singapore, a period of days which has already been completed and submitted to the FAM Secretariat, recently.
The results of the post-mortem from the Malaysia national Team Independent Investigation Body will then be presented by Datuk Dell Akbar along with the improvement measures to the FAM National Team Management Committee for discussion.
