Datuk Mohd. Yusoff Mahadi, FAM Deputy President, said the priority now should be more focused on planning for the future instead of lamenting the past.
Malaysia national team just unable to qualify for the third round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 3, and Kim Pan-gon, the head coach needs to improve the ranking to enable Malaysia to be in pot one of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers round 3 before draw event in December 2024.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) assured the governing body that it will work closely with the Malaysian Football League (MFL) to ensure space for Malaysia’s national team to prepare more thoroughly.
“Things have gone but that may also be a lesson. After this, FAM and MFL will see how to improve future preparations.” FAM Deputy President, said.
“We have to take action to prepare a better, complete team and ensure that preparations are no longer interrupted,”
