The world No. 4 pair beat Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae 21-14, 21-18 in 38 minutes in the men’s doubles semi-final at the Jyske Bank Arena in Odense.

On Sunday, Aaron-Wooi Yik will face the winner of the other semi-final between Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian-Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and China’s Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang in the Super 750 final.

Aaron-Wooi Yik reached the Malaysia Open final in January, where they also faced Kim-Seo. They won the Denmark Open title in 2023. Kim-Seo came into the semi-final as the top seed.

Whoever comes through will face a dangerous final opponent. Fajar-Fikri beat Kim-Seo in the Japan Open final in July. Liang-Wang beat compatriots Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani in the quarter-finals.

Aaron-Wooi Yik are one of three Malaysian pairs to reach the semi-finals in Odense. Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah and Hoo Pang Ron-Lai Pei Jing were also in last-four action on Saturday.
