BRM FC Kuala Kangsar, has officially withdrawn team from MBSB Bank Championship (Liga M3) season 2023 after playing 9 matches.
Yesterday(19 June), BRM FC send a letter to Amateur Football League(AFL) with a request to withdraw the team from the competition due to the financial problems faced by the club. This is due to some sponsoring companies that have not fulfilled their promises as previously agreed.
Lastest, chairman of the Amateur Football League (AFL), Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi confirmed this after receiving a withdrawal notice from BRM FC.
“We have tried to discuss and try to help BRM FC in dealing with the problems faced but the club management has been determined with their decision” the chairman of AFL said.
“AFL accepts and respects the decision with a heavy heart and following the withdrawal of BRM FC, all its matches are canceled and considered invalid including all points and goals that have been played before the official withdrawal of BRM FC,”
“Regarding the actions that will be imposed on BRM FC, the official decision will be determined after the AFL Board of Directors meets in the near future,”
Following the withdrawal of BRM FC, the MBSB Bank Championship 2023 will cancel the results of all the past 9 matches of BRM FC this season and retain 13 teams in the league with 1 team relegation to Liga M4 next season.
