Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah of the JDT Racing Team showcased resilience and skill to secure P5 in Race 1 of the ASB1000 category during the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2024 Round 6 at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand.
Starting from Grid 11, Hafizh faced a tough challenge after being hampered by a crash and mechanical issues during the qualifying round. Despite the setbacks, the experienced rider pushed through the pack, clocking his fastest lap at 1:35.787 minutes, finishing just 8.682 seconds behind the race winner, Andi Farid Izdihar of the A Honda Asia-Dream Racing with Astemo.
The fifth-place finish marks a strong comeback for Hafizh, highlighting his determination and adaptability under challenging circumstances. With Buriram’s technical layout testing both rider and machine, Hafizh’s performance underscores the potential of the JDT Racing Team in this high-stakes championship.
Tomorrow, 8 December, the schedule will include a warm-up session in the morning, leading into Race 2 in the afternoon. Hafizh and the JDT Racing Team will aim to capitalize on today’s momentum and strive for an even better result in the final race of the round.
