Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has listed Arif Aiman, a midfielder on the Malaysia national team and Johor Darul Ta’Zim, as one of the five players who need to be focused on in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Final round in Qatar next month.
Arif Aiman has been shown as the character ‘The Architect’ after showing 1 goal scored and having part of all goals in the match win Kyrgyz Republic national team 4-3 in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group D.
Their official website lists Arif Aiman along with four other Asian stars, namely Junya Ito (Japan), Cho Gue-sung (Korea Republic), Harry Souttar (Australia) and Harib Abdalla (United Arab Emirates).
“Malaysia are steadily emerging as a new force in South East Asia. The Malayan Tigers won just three of their 10 games prior to the arrival of Korean coach Kim Pan-gon, but then 18 of their 27 games subsequently. They have also made a fine start to 2026 World Cup qualifying by winning their first two Group D games. Most notably, they came from 3-1 down with 20 minutes to go in their opener against Kyrgyzstan to win 4-3.” FIFA said on their official website.
“Pivotal to that success was Arif Aiman, who provided three assists in the dramatic victory. The 21-year-old has been on fire for Malaysian giants Johor, racking up eight goals and 13 assists in 23 games this season. He came to prominence after scoring in a friendly match against Borussia Dortmund late last year and has steadily improved to become one of Malaysia’s most exciting prospects.”
