Malaysia’s men’s doubles pair, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, reached the final after beating Chinese Taipei pair LEE Jhe-Huei-YANG Po-Hsuan in the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships 2024 at Utilita Arena, Birmingham.
Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik won straight sets with scores of 21-16 and 21-15 in just 36 minutes.
This success saw Aaron-Wooi Yik repeat their best achievement in this tournament after reaching the final in the 2019 edition and rematching the final with Indonesian pair Fajar Alfian-Muhammad Rian Ardianto tonight.
Based on meeting records, Aaron-Wooi Yik has the advantage of winning four of his seven matches against Fajar-Rian, with the last time he beat his opponent in the semifinals of the 2023 Indian Open in a three-set match.
