Ali Olwan, a forward from the Jordan national team, has moved from Al Shamal in the Qatar Stars League to join Selangor FC for the 2024/25 season.
Previously, Olwan faced fierce competition for a spot at Al-Shamal FC. However, his impressive partnership with Yazan Al-Naimat and Musa Al-Taamari at the 2023 Asian Cup helped Jordan emerge as runners-up in Qatar.
Olwan has made 42 appearances for the Jordan national team, starting in 32 matches across various competitions such as the Asian Cup Qualifiers, AFC Asian Cup, World Cup Qualifiers, and International Friendly matches since November 21, 2020. He has scored 12 goals for Jordan, including a hat-trick against Malaysia in an International Friendly match in October 2021.
Olwan held the number 90 jersey, which quickly garnered attention.
