Malaysia national team has announced 33 players in the squad to prepare for FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group D Matchday 3-4 from 21-26 March 2024.
The following is the list of 33 players called up by Kim Pan-Gon, head coach, to join the Malaysia national team’s centralised training camp beginning on 8 March 2024.
Based on the abovementioned list, Pan-Gon retained a total of 21 of 26 players from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 squad in Qatar last January.

The 12 new players who are on the list are goalkeeper Suhaimi Husin, Azam Azmi Murad and Safwan Mazlan from Terengganu FC; Sharul Nazeem Zulpakar, Harith Haiqal Adam Afkar, Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi, Nooa Laine, Ahmad Zikri Khalili, Ruventhiran and Aliff Izwan Yuslan from Selangor FC; Haqimi Azim Rosli from Kuala Lumpur City FC and T. Saravanan from Sri Pahang FC.
However, some of these 33 players will report later on Friday, March 15, 2024 and shortly after their arrival, some players will be released to the national U-23 squad centralized training camp with Juan Torres Garrido.
“We understand that clubs are undergoing pre-season training and at the same time, the International Match Calendar will only start from 18 to 26 March 2024.” said the national head coach, Kim Pan-Gon.
“However, we still need to prepare early for these two matches against Oman, and for that reason, we decided to start the centralized training camp on March 8 by calling together some players from the Malaysia U23 national team squad.”
“After discussions with the clubs involved, some players will only report on March 15 because I understand that they have just returned from holidays and have just started training with their clubs, compared to other players who began training with their respective clubs much earlier,”
