Kim Pan-gon, head coach of Malaysia national team, praised the performance of the players when they surprisingly tied Korea Republic 3-3 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Group Stage, Group E last night.
“For us it is a great result. Congratulations to all Malaysian fans, I appreciate the support we have.” Pan-gon said in post-match press conference.
“I thank all the players for what they have done,”
“I am proud of all the players. In the first half, we struggled but in the second half, we came back.”
“We were up, then we were down and we finished with an equaliser.”
“It was an amazing performance and result. South Korea has quality and is strong in possession.”
“We experienced the highest level (of football), we felt it, we dealt with fear, we gained a lot, and there is a lot more to do for the next step,”
