Financial Fair Play First Instance Body (FFP FIB) has completed an inspection of the financial reports submitted by all Liga Super Malaysia clubs, marking the first phase of implementing FFP rules in the Malaysian League starting from the 2024/25 season. This review followed the deadline of 16 July 2024 for report submissions.
The inspection revealed that eight clubs successfully submitted their FFP financial reports in full, with no salary arrears or outstanding contributions to EPF, LHDN, SOCSO, and EIS as of June 2024. However, two clubs missed the initial deadline but managed to complete their submissions by 31 July 2024 after being granted an extension by FFP FIB.
The examination also found that three clubs have salary arrears and outstanding contributions for May and June 2024. Additionally, two clubs were asked to provide further financial documentation. These clubs have been instructed to clear their arrears and submit the necessary documents by 15 August 2024.
Failure to comply with these directives will result in the imposition of player transfer restrictions during the upcoming transfer window.
