VICTOR and BAT Partnership Ends
Badminton brand says it will keep backing the sport in Thailand through other initiatives
VICTOR and the Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT) have ended their partnership, with the equipment brand announcing in an official statement that the two sides have concluded the “current phase of the partnership.”
In the statement, VICTOR thanked the association, its athletes, coaches and staff, saying it truly values the relationship the two have shared. It added that it will keep contributing to badminton in Thailand through various initiatives, and wished BAT and Thai badminton continued success and growth in the years ahead.
The statement did not give a reason for the decision, and it did not say who will equip the national team or supply BAT-hosted events going forward.
The split comes soon after the deal began. The four-year agreement was announced in May and was due to run from 2026 through 2030, making VICTOR the official partner of BAT and the Thailand national team. It replaced Yonex, which had long been Thai badminton’s partner. VICTOR was also named official equipment sponsor for BAT’s major tournaments, including the Thailand Open and the Thailand Masters. The partnership officially began on May 1, with the Thailand Open the first major event staged under it.
At the time, the deal was presented as a way to strengthen Thailand’s ambition to remain one of the world’s leading badminton nations. Thursday’s statement does not say what will happen to the remaining years of that 2026-2030 agreement.
