Terengganu FC have officially announced that the club’s Technical Committee and Board of Directors have decided to place Head Coach Badrul Afzan on leave with immediate effect.
In a statement released by the club, TFCSB confirmed that Assistant Coach Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan has been appointed as Interim Head Coach, taking charge of the team until the official announcement of a new permanent head coach.
The decision marks a significant turning point for the Turtles as the club looks to stabilise performances and reassess its technical direction moving forward.
TFCSB also took the opportunity to express its sincere appreciation to Badrul Afzan Razali for his dedication, commitment and service during his tenure with the club.
“The club would like to record its highest appreciation to Badrul Afzan bin Razali for all his contributions, commitment and service throughout his time with the team,” the statement read.
With Tengku Hazman stepping into the interim role, attention now turns to how the former assistant will steer the squad during this transitional period while the club evaluates long-term options for the head coaching position.
Further updates regarding the appointment of a new head coach are expected to be announced by TFCSB in due course.
