Mochamad Iriawan, president of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), apologized to the Football Association of Thailand. In the case of Indonesian football fans smashed a bus of players and staff until the glass broke in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022 group stage round, Group A on 29th December.

“We are too confident that the Thailand national team will travel from my hotel to the stadium. With only 1 escort vehicle, we didn’t expect this to happen.” President PSSI said.
“I sincerely hope that the players, staff, and all Thai football fans will forgive us. And this is a very valuable lesson for the Indonesian football community.”
“We can assure you that this will not happen again in next games. Being a rival is only on the field, 90 minutes is enough. After that, we’re friends.”
