Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) just announced 23 players in squad list of Malaysia U20 national team for AFC U20 Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers Group E during 14-18 September at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Based on the list above, Hassan Sazali has retained 16 of the 25 players from the squad that won the AFF U19 Championship 2022 at Indonesia on July and 10 of the 20 players from the squad that emerged as runners-up in the 4th International U-19 Football Thanh Nien Tournament 2022 Vietnam on August.

Five players – Syahmi Adib Haikal, Danish Irfan, Izrin Ibrahim, Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili and Aizat Aiman are in the squad for both tournaments while the two new players featured this time are Marwan Rahman and Oswyn Lim.
The Harimau Malaya U-19 squad that will leave for Ulaanbaatar tonight (Sunday, 11 September 2022) will begin the challenge against the host team, Mongolia on Wednesday, 14 September 2022 (5.00 pm); Sri Lanka on Friday, 16 September 2022 (5.00pm) and Republic of Korea on Sunday, 18 September 2022 (12.30pm), with all matches at the MFF Stadium, Ulaanbaatar.
