Penang FC collect 3 points in this match after beating Sri Pahang FC scoring 3-2 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2023 at Stadium Bandaraya, Pulau Pinang.
The first half of the match saw defender Khairul Akmal Rokisham try to score the home team’s first goal in the 10th minute but his powerful shot just hit the post.
However, Rafael Silva finally opened Sri Pahang scoring account in the 19th minute as a result of Ashar Al Aafiz’s pass combined with the team captain, Ezequiel Aguero.
That position did not last long when, Penang FC’s import striker, Abdul Abdeen headed a pass from midfielder, Al Hafiz Harun and then scored the equalizing goal in the 25th minute.
Continuing the second half, Syazwan Andik again put the Sri Pahang in front in the 62nd minute.
Syazwan Andik made a powerful shot with his right foot right into the left corner of the opponent’s goal without the goalkeeper, Haziq Muqri having time to do anything.
The hosts clearly did not give in easily with Abdul Abdeen once again being the hero of the team when he leveled the score at 2-2 in the 64th minute.
The tall striker wisely took advantage of the opportunity by kicking right into the middle of the goal immediately after receiving the ball that soared high and fell right at his feet.
