PDRM FC came back to edge first point in this season from the brink in a thrilling 2-2 draw against newcomers DPMM FC in the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 at Stadium MPS, Selayang.
The match couldn’t have started worse for the Cops, as DPMM FC stunned the home crowd with two goals inside the first six minutes. In the 2nd minute, Ramadhan Sananta pounced on a rebound after his initial header was parried by goalkeeper Ifwat Akmal, slotting the ball home to make it 1-0.
Four minutes later, the visitors struck again — this time Sananta turned provider, threading a pass to Miguel Oliveira, who made no mistake in doubling the lead.
With the scoreboard reading 0-2 so early, PDRM FC needed to regroup fast. They tightened their defense and weathered the storm, managing to keep DPMM FC at bay for the remainder of the first half.
The second half saw a remarkable shift in momentum. PDRM FC mirrored their opponent’s early burst with a two-goal blitz of their own — both courtesy of Tae Su. The South Korean defender first powered in a close-range header in the 67th minute to halve the deficit, then coolly finished from inside the box in the 71st minute to level the score at 2-2.
Despite chances for both sides in the final stages, neither could find the winner, leaving them to share the spoils in an opening-day clash filled with drama.
PDRM FC will next face Terengganu FC away from home, while DPMM FC travel to take on last season’s runners-up, Selangor FC.
