Negeri Sembilan FC continued their home dominance with a crucial 2-0 victory over Kedah Darul Aman in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
The first half saw limited attacking action, with both teams struggling to create clear chances in the opening 30 minutes. Negeri Sembilan’s attacking duo, A Selvan and Hein Htet Aung, found it difficult to break through Kedah’s well-organized defense, marshaled by Mohd Akmal Md Zahir, Mohd Loqman Hakim Marzuki, and Muhamad Kamil Akmal Abd Halim.
However, the breakthrough finally came in the 39th minute when Muhammad Harith Samsuri found the net, giving the home side a much-needed lead before halftime.
Kedah showed more urgency in the second half, with head coach Victor Andrag pushing his side forward in search of an equalizer. Their best opportunity arrived in the 70th minute when Milos Gordic skillfully dribbled past two Negeri Sembilan defenders, but his powerful shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Muhamad Aqil Abdul Razak.
Negeri Sembilan then capitalized on a counterattack in the 85th minute, with Selvan sealing the victory with a well-taken goal to secure a 2-0 win.
This marks NSFC’s second consecutive home win after previously defeating Sri Pahang FC.
Despite the victory, Negeri Sembilan remains in the relegation zone, sitting second from bottom with 15 points—just two points behind Sri Pahang.
