Johor Darul Ta’Zim, clinched 2 victory in-a-row after beating Negeri Sembian FC scoring 3-1 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri.
Before the match, JDT have a ceebrate with Piala Sultam Haji Ahmad Shah(Piala Sumbangsih) as a winner by walkover 3-0 after Selangor FC not to attend the game,
JDT’s determination to create a goal started as early as the fourth minute when Juan Muniz took a long shot from a distance of 25 meters, causing concern for NSFC goalkeeper, Muhamad Aqil Abdul Razak.
After continuous stomping, the goal they were looking for finally appeared in the 12th minute as Muniz’s through ball opened up space for Bergson Da Silva to make a powerful shot from outside the box to beat Muhamad Aqil to give JDT a 1-0 lead.\
Bergson once again scored his name as the second scorer for JDT in the 17th minute when he finished off Muniz’s ball which was quickly pushed back to ensure the South Tiger squad finished with a score of 2-0.
However, the weakness of the home team saw Azzmi Aziz’s students manage to tear the host’s goal in the 27th minute after Takami Sasaki’s solo movement was blocked by Feroz Baharuddin who took the ball out of the area but Hein Htet Aung acted quickly to hit the ball which killed Ahmad Syihan Hazmi Mohamed.
JDT’s goal was almost broken for the second time in the 38th minute after Hein Htet’s interesting movement quickly turned the ball over to R Aroon Kumar who acted to catch the loose ball forcing Ahmad Syihan to catch the ball with his right foot.
Continuing the second half, JDT received a free kick from outside the penalty box in the 47th minute but the best opportunity to add to the goal was wasted by Muniz who threw the ball wildly.
It would be unfortunate for JDT if they failed to add to the net when they entered the 57th minute after Heberty Fernandes’ free kick just stopped to the left of the goal post.
When the action entered the 70th minute, it started with Muniz’s corner kick right at Matthew Davies who headed the ball for the unmarked captain Jordi Amat to connect the header and then score a goal and the position remained 3-1 in JDT’s favor until the end of the match.
