Kelantan WTS FC have been handed a 3-0 walkover victory in their A1 Semi-Pro League clash against Machan FC after their opponents failed to register the minimum number of players required to start the match.
The decision was officially confirmed by the Amateur Football League, who stated that Machan FC were unable to assemble a sufficient squad for the fixture against the East Coast side.
“Kelantan WTS FC are awarded a 3-0 victory following Machan FC’s failure to field enough players to begin the match.
Any further action or additional punishment will be decided by the Disciplinary Committee of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM),” the AFL said in its official statement.
The result keeps Kelantan WTS firmly in the hunt near the top of the table, as they continue to chase Kedah FA in third place with 40 points, maintaining pressure in the race for the league’s key positions.
This is not the first time the A1 Semi-Pro League has seen a fixture decided off the pitch this season.
Earlier in the campaign, UM Damansara were also awarded a walkover after Seoul Phoenix failed to show up for their scheduled match.
Likewise, Perak FA benefited from a similar ruling following venue complications involving Malaysian University FT at Stadium MMU.
The repeated incidents will raise fresh questions about squad readiness, operational standards, and league management consistency in the A1 Semi-Pro competition.
