Jefferson Tabinas, defender of Philippine national team, age,25, moved to join Buriram United, a club in Thai League 1, in the second leg of the 2023/24 season.
Tabinas, being a half-Japanese-Filipino player, brings a unique background and experience to the team. Growing up in Japanese high school football and starting his professional career with Kawasaki Frontale, his journey also includes playing with FC Gifu and Gamba Osaka U23 before joining Mito Hollyhock in J2 League.
With 72 appearances on the field and scoring 2 goals for Mito Hollyhock, Tabinas has showcased his skills and versatility as a defender. His experience extends to the senior Philippine national team, where he has participated in 13 matches.
Tabinas becomes the second ASEAN quota player for Buriram United, following the acquisition of Dion Cools, defender of Malaysia national team.
