Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim and Luca Stolz from Triple Eight JMR ended at 9th position overall and 3rd place in Pro-Am in race 1 of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS Round 3&4 at Chang International Circuit, Buriram.
Triple Eight JMR Racing by Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim(Driver 1) and Luca Stolz(Driver 2) ended P8 in overall and P3 in Pro-Am (following 1st place 27.784 seconds) with the Best lap of 1:34.545 seconds
As a winner of race 1, Huang Ruo Han and Markus Winkelhock from Audi Sport Asia clinched a victory.
And there was further joy for Ingolstadt thanks to Franky Cheng and Adderly Fong who maintained their early season momentum by completing the podium in FAW’s Phantom Global Racing-run R8 despite significant late race pressure from Alessio Picariello and Yuan Bo.
The latter and his Origine Motorsport co-driver Leo Ye Hongli scored a third Silver-Am win in as many races, while Eshan Pieris and home favourite Tanart Sathienthirakul added sixth place overall to Absolute’s first, second and fourth positions.
Further back, Mineki Okura held off the hard charging Max Wiser to clinch Am class victory with his Spirit of FFF Racing co-driver Hiroshi Hamaguchi. Just 0.6s separated the Audi and Ferrari at the finish.
