The 2022 Japan Open (officially known as the Daihatsu Yonex Japan Open Badminton Championships 2022) is a badminton tournament which will take place at Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka in Osaka, Japan, from 30 August to 4 September 2022 and has a total purse of $750,000.
Tournament
The 2022 Japan Open is the sixteenth tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour and also part of the Japan Open championships, which has been held since 1977. This tournament is organized by the Nippon Badminton Association with sanction from the BWF.

MEN’S SINGLE
Malaysia born player, LEE Zii Jia [5] will be playing against Indian badminton player, KIDAMBI Srikanth; meanwhile another Malaysian player, LIEW Daren, will be playing against the host, Kodai NARAOKA of Japan. Malaysia Aaron CHIA/SOH Wooi Yik [6], decided to withdraw this time. Malaysia Men’s Double, GOH Sze Fei/Nur IZZUDDIN will be playing against Indonesia’s double, M FIKRI/B MAULANA, estimate 10.55 a.m., at Court 4.

CHEN Yu Fei [4], China born player, will be playing against Denmark’s Line Højmark KJAERSFELDT. On the other hand, Taiwanese player TAI Tzu Ying [2], meets Denmark’s Mia BLICHFELDT.
WOMEN’S DOUBLE
The Malaysia Women Double Vivian HOO/LIM C S will be playing against Germany’s Linda EFLER/Isabel LOHAU, at Court 1, 9.15 a.m., tomorrow.
Another Malaysia Women’s Double, Anna Ching Yik CHEONG/TEOH Mei Xing will be playing against China’s pair, LIU Xuan Xuan/XIA Yu Ting.
Another Malaysia’s pair Pearly TAN/THINAAH Muralitharan will meet Korea’s pair, LEE So Hee/SHIN Sueng Chan [3], tomorrow, which both team has recently joined the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships 2022, ended yesterday.
