The Buriram Marathon 2025 celebrates its 9th edition with a vision of becoming a global “Runner’s Paradise.” Scheduled for January 25, 2025, this prestigious night run, loved by many in Thailand, has evolved into a major international event.
This race held under the theme ‘Your Ultimate Destination’ the marathon attracts over 30,000 runners annually and has earned a Gold Label certification from World Athletics, making it the first and only marathon in Thailand to achieve this standard.
The event will once again start at the Chang International Circuit and finish at Chang Arena Football Stadium, featuring four race categories: Marathon (42.195 km), Half Marathon (21.1 km), Mini Marathon (10.0 km), and Fun Run (4.554 km). This year, the marathon introduces special perks, including 1.3 million baht in randomly distributed prizes and free real-time photos for runners, a world-first technological innovation.
Moreover, the top 10 Thai male and female marathoners will be supported to compete at the prestigious Tokyo Marathon with covered travel, accommodation, and registration costs.
The marathon plays a vital role in boosting the local economy, generating up to 800 million baht in revenue, and promoting Buriram as a key destination for sports tourism.
