PFC Nasaf, a club from Uzbekistan clinched the first 3 points after beating APF FC, a club from Nepal scoring 1-0 in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2024/25 Preliminary Stage Group C at Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu.
APF started strong but had an early scare when a misdirected back pass allowed Malika Burkhonova a chance, though her shot went over the bar. Nasaf continued to press, with opportunities from Grace Adams and Umida Zoirova being denied by APF’s defense.
Nasaf’s persistence paid off in the second half when substitute Tosheva Shodiya delivered a brilliant pass to Lyudmila Karachik, whose shot hit the post, allowing Niber-Lawrence to capitalize on the rebound and score the match’s only goal.
Despite APF’s attempts to level the score, Nasaf maintained their lead and nearly added a second goal late in the match, but Maftuna Shoyimova’s shot missed the target.
