Iran national team easily kept 3 points in the first match after beating the Palestine national team, scoring 4-1 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023, Group Stage, Group C at Education City Stadium.
Not long after started, in the 2nd minute following attacking of Iran and Saman Ghoddos crossing to Karim Ansarifard shot to the goal, Iran led 1-0
10 minutes later, the Canaan Lions goal controlled by Rami Hamada leaked again through Iran’s central defender, Shoja Khalilzadeh.
Startled, Palestine tried to get up and hunt for a goal. Unfortunately, they conceded again for the third time through Mehdi Ghayedi in the 38th minute.
Former Brighton striker Alireza Jahanbakhsh made a run towards the Canaan Lions defense before his pass was finished off by Ghayedi.
Palestine ensured they got a goal through Tamir Seyam in the last minute of the first half. The score remained 3-1 until the break.
Continuing in the second half, Iran continued to try to increase their goal advantage.
As a result, Sardar Azmoun’s final touch ensured that Iran again had a three-goal advantage in the 55th minute.
Despite comfortably leading 4-1, Iran continues to put pressure on Palestine. This forced the Palestine defensive line led by the captain, Mus’ab Al-Battat, to work hard to absorb the opponent’s pressure.
Palestine substitute striker Oday Dabbagh almost added a second goal in the 76th minute, but his effort missed the target.
Both teams continued to search for additional goals but the result remained 4-1 until the end of the match.
