Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, Malaysia’s top women’s doubles badminton pair, ended with runner-up of the Women’s Doubles event in the CLASH ROYALE Arctic Open 2024 at Vantaan Energia Areena, Finland.
Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, were defeated by China’s Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning, the world No. 2 pair. The Chinese duo secured a dominant 21-12, 21-17 victory in just 58 minutes.
This marked the fifth defeat for world No. 7 Pearly-Thinaah in eight meetings against Sheng Shu-Tan Ning. Despite beating the same pair in last month’s Hong Kong Open final, Pearly and Thinaah were unable to find the same rhythm in Finland.
